Do I want them banned? Yes. I have made my argument. The Supreme Court has already ruled that the 2nd amendment does not protect your right to own a semi automatic rifle like the AR-15. If gun enthusiasts can make a real case for not banning them, then make the case.
My position up until a month ago was to make them harder to get, to require training and licensing and enforce safety precautions. But after 15+ years of the opposition refusing to compromise, my opinion has evolved. I’ve done my homework and I do not see any reason for these guns to be sold at all to civilians.
What is popular is not always right. And what is right is not always popular.
“What is popular is not always right. And what is right is not always popular.”
Ban the AR-15 because it’s the right thing to do. And then ban the NRA because that’s also the right thing to do.
“People fall in and out of love all the time, and sometimes people have numerous loves throughout their lives. But you have two epic loves and no matter who you were with, I don’t think you’d ever get over
or forget the other.”
I read once that the ancient Egyptians had fifty words for sand & the Eskimos had a hundred words for snow. I wish I had a thousand words for love, but all that comes to mind is the way you move against me while you sleep & there are no words for that.

I want to buy you a cup of coffee on your best and worst days, write you notes and leave them scattered around your house, show up on your porch in the pouring rain with my ukulele just to say hello, send you postcards brimming with adventures and run away with you for weekends with no maps. I want to love you in a litany of little things.
